fatal shooting at 2nd & Hill Streets
Jerry Miles, 56, of the 3100 block of Third Avenue, was fatally shot just before midnight last night at 3rd and Hill Streets. Richmond Police are looking for Verdon Taylor, described as 5 feet, six inches tall, 166 pounds., and with a shaved head. [via]

For June’s First Friday, Gallery5 will be hosting Disrobed 2: The Connection. Billed as an “All-Nude Art Exhibition and Gallery5 Benefit”, this follow-up to last years’s popular exhibition is being used to raise money to help Gallery5 become ADA compliant.

Jackson Ward, the movie
Jackson Ward, the story of “a young cop walking a thin moral tightrope… [who] spends his days patrolling the streets of his small southern town … [and] finds occasional company in a neighborhood prostitute named Glora” is set to begin filming June 1.
