Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church will have a table in the Virginia tent at the Roots of Virginia Culture program at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, to display artifacts from its museum. [via]

“It’s a great honor for our church, and we are very happy to have been selected,” the Rev. Tyrone E. Nelson, pastor of Sixth Mount Zion, said in a statement. “This not only gives us a chance to share our great history but also an opportunity to show what we are doing as a church in the 21st century.”
