parking stickers coming to Carver
VCU’s Commonwealth Times has confirmed earlier reportsthat starting in January parking decals will be required to park in Carver for more than an hour. In an attempt to cut down on VCU-related parking congestion in the neighborhood, only vehicles with one of the $25 resident decals will be able to park on the street for more than an hour between 7AM and 10PM.

Rebuilding Together yesterday
The Adult Career Development Center (ACDC) hosted the Rebuilding Together Richmond Day in Jackson Ward yesterday. Members of the the City Lights Partnership (Historic Jackson Ward Association, Black History Museum, RRHA, Technology Resource Connections, ACDC, and Capital One) and volunteers from all over the city came together to to spruce up and renovate homes in Jackson Ward. One of the interesting handouts at Pantele’s meeting last week was a map of the gerrymandered-looking 2nd District, particularly useful since the map on the city site is basically worthless. See a larger version of the map…
