I think The Hanson Company might be doing this work. I wonder what the plan is?

I’ve heard that, too, though I couldn’t find any info anywhere.

[...] week due to its rapidly deteriorating condition. With work at the hotel apparently stalled since fences went up in November, maybe this will spur quicker action to save the landmark building. Posted by john_m at 9:40AM [...]

How would I go about obtaining this building. any information would be extremely helpful. I have been trying to find out if this hotel is on the market and if it is possible to buy now for a couple weeks. Any help in the matter would be appreciated. I am a local business owner and would love to have a hand in refurbishing and restoring a piece of richmonds history. If someone knows information please email: texngi04@aol.com

It is my understanding that this is a Hanson Company project, and that they are currently working with engineers to stabilize the building so that work can be done.
