A reader has written about being assaulted yesterday at around 2PM at the intersection of Kinney and Clay:

I was walking up the street … toward Kroger and saw these three black teenagers standing on the NE corner of the intersection of Kinney and Clay… they moved toward me and one of them crossed the street and was walking toward me. As I passed I said hello and as soon as our eyes met this one was punching my head. [...] They wanted my wallet and were asking/demanding I give it to them. One of the others came in and started hitting my head also. I was able to get some blows in and had to laugh when the guy who had initiated the assult complained for me to stop pulling on his shirt.

While this assault has not made the database yet, the Carver & Jackson Ward crime map shows 2 other weekend robberies of individuals in the same immediate area (1300 Clay, 1201 Clay) since March 23rd.
