Heirlooms by J. W. Robinson Horne

The Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia will feature a gallery talk in conjunction with the exhibition, Heirlooms by J. W. Robinson Horne featuring original fashion designs of this native Richmonder. This exhibition features 35 selected designs from his collections: Fall Drama, Paris Inspired, University, Bridal, 1776, Couturier and Spring1950 Collections. Also featured are three designs from his “Carousel of Coats” Collection. These Heirloom Fashion Designs by J. W. Robinson Horne will be on display through September 30, 2008.

inlight Richmond

More than 40 artists have been selected to participate in the first annual InLight Richmond event on September 5, 2008. This juried, light inspired art exhibition and event will take place from sun-down to midnight between the 100 and 400 blocks of Broad Street downtown, and is open to the public. The response to this event has been broad and deep with many international and regional artists participating.

Black Dolphin Dive Club meeting

Membership in the Black Dolphin Dive Club is open to all regardless of race, religion, ethic origin, sex, or handicap. We accept certified divers, people looking to get certified, as well as people interested in learning how to swim and scuba dive.

Monthly meetings on the first Saturday of every month at the Calhoun Center.
