Eggleston files suit against owners A.D.Price
Carl U. Eggleston, the former operator of the now closed A.D. Price Funeral Home, has filed a $5.5 suit for against the owners of the property:
Eggleston, who had been leasing the property, alleges in the suit that IBI violated an asset purchase agreement signed by both parties that the property would be delivered to Eggleston free of any debts or liens.
Eggleston said he couldn’t get a city business license to operate because IBI failed to pay property and real estate taxes on the property for 2008, and the company owed more than $18,000 to Batesville Casket Co. and Vogue Flowers & Gifts before Eggleston assumed control.
