That woman has been sitting there for the past year and, by her own admission, she has no kids. There are certainly people hurting but not this one…
That woman has been sitting there since i moved to Richmond five years ago.
I agree. That may be a new sign, for these times, but that woman has been out there for quite some time. Her kids are probably grown by now she has been out there for so long.
I’ve seen her around for years too, but i thought i saw her with a baby. Once i saw a homeless alcoholic woman at jeff davis and hull who was 8 months pregnant. It was quite shocking and sad to think about the baby, but i am forever against abortion.
she use to push a little girl in a stroller about 5 years ago, but i haven’t seen the little girl in years. i did see this lady at the grocery store once filling her basket with frozen cakes.
I’m going on my 4th year here in Jackson Ward and this lady has been there ever since I moved. She lives in a green house on Leigh st. and I’ve seen her in the Kroger buying steaks. Sign of the times = “This makes me more money than a minimum wage job.” I’ve always wanted to stop and talk to her and just say, “Ok. Let’s be honest with each other. What’s the deal?”
