Organizational meeting for Gallery 5’s May Day demonstration
Gallery 5 is looking for artists to contribute to their upcoming May Day exhibition scheduled for May 1st, 2009. There will be an organizational meeting for those interested in contributing or helping to plan this event on Sunday February 22nd at Gallery 5 from 3 until “whenever.” Read more >

VCU launches new Jackson Ward collection

VCU has launched a new online collection featuring Jackson Ward. Dig into over 500 photographs from the 1970s of of Jackson Ward buildings, text, and a Google Maps interface. The photos were taken by John Zehmer as part of a City of Richmond project, and published in 1978 in the book The Jackson Ward Historic District, with text by Robert P. Winthrop, Virginia architect and specialist in the architectural history of Richmond.
