The sector 413 community newsletters for April and May are available on the RPD’s site. Or you can download the PDF versions here:

April
May

New sector Lt. Yvonne Baltz also included some tips to keep in mind when you’re out of town this summer…

  • Have good locks on your doors and windows- USE them.
  • Engrave valuables with your license number or other identification number.
  • Stop deliveries or have a neighbor pick up your mail, newspaper or packages.
  • Arrange for someone to mow the lawn.
  • Use timers to turn lights on or off.
  • Hide garbage cans-Empty cans when everyone else’s is full alerts thieves.
  • Turn down the ringer on phones or answering machines so that a burglar is not alerted by your absence.
  • Close and lock garage doors.
  • Leave blinds/shades/curtains in a normal position.
  • Ask a neighbor to watch the house while you are away.
  • Leave a phone number where you can be reached in case of an emergency.
