Dovi delves into Gray’s win
Chris Dovi takes a look at Kim Gray’s victory in the 2nd District school board election last week and, with Gray winning all 10 district precincts, calls it “one of the most stunning upsets of the local election”:
“I think if you look at it,” [Goldman] says, “Braxton didn’t run and [Dawson] didn’t win and Pantele is out on City Council and Mayor Wilder realized he didn’t have a chance to win.” He postulates that voters were fed up with politics as usual: “Voters got it. We wanted change.”

Charles Samuels is the new 2nd District Council Representative, winning 45% of the vote in a 3-way race. Kim Gray is the new school board rep, with a decisive margin over Lisa Dawson. Pantele is out.

In what must be a response to Mark Warner’s endorsement of Kim Gray in her bid for the 2nd District school board seat, the incumbent Lisa Dawson has announced her endorsement by First Lady Anne Holton and Mark Emblidge, Chair of the State Board of Education.
