In what must be a response to Mark Warner’s endorsement of Kim Gray in her bid for the 2nd District school board seat, the incumbent Lisa Dawson has announced her endorsement by First Lady Anne Holton and Mark Emblidge, Chair of the State Board of Education.

Style Weekly has the word that Second District school board candidate Kim Gray has received the endorsement of former Governor and Senate candidate Mark Warner in her bid to unseat School Board Vice Chairwoman Lisa Dawson.

Bey seeking 2nd District Council seat
The RTD has a list of people who have already submitted papers with the city’s office of the general registrar indicating that they will run for office this November. Candidates have until June 10th to file. So far, Tyrone Bey is the only candidate for the 2nd District City Council seat being vacated by Pantele in his bid for mayor, and no challengers have stepped forth for 2nd District School Board Representative Lisa Dawson.
